People who wants to live long with a complete physical fitness, should consume less meat, says a new study. According to the European researchers, meat consumption is associated with weight gain. The study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that meat including red meat and poultry contain high energy and fat that results weight gain in adults and old people which is responsible for having heart strokes and rise in cholesterol in disguise. The researchers conducting on over 100,000 men and 270,000 women from 10 European countries found that people are gaining their weight while consuming meat on daily basis. The subjects were aged between 25 and 70 and examined by their weight, height and diet continuously over a five-year period. |
